Numbers to 100

During the month of February our main focus during our Math Workshop
times was Numbers to 100.  The children had so much fun grouping teddy bears,
pom poms, shiny jewels and even new socks into groups of 2 while practicing counting by 2s up to 20.  They had plenty of practice grouping manipulatives into groups
of 5 and groups of 10 as we learned how to count by 5s and 10s to 100!
Children explored numbers to 100 and learned about place value through whole group and small group instructional times, and even on our classroom ipads using the
IXL program.  They also had lots of time engaging in exciting, challenging hands-on learning activities to practice counting up to greater two-digit numbers using
skip-counting by 10s and then counting individual ones.
I was able to snap a few photos during our Math Workshop times to share with you!

Ordering 2-digit numbers from greatest to least was also a concept
that was taught during our Math Workshop times!
