LEGOLAND

Field Trip REMINDER!

Dear Families,
On Thursday, May 30, 2019, Steward School’s First Graders will be visiting the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston located at Assembly Row in Somerville.
We would like to thank TESPTO for providing us with this amazing field trip.
We feel very grateful to have TESPTO support our learning with progressive and enriching opportunities!
At the LEGOLAND Discovery Center, all students will get to explore 2 rides,
10 LEGO play zones, a 4D cinema, LEGO exhibits and so much more.
Each class will get to have a private 30-minute SpinningTops workshop where students
build LEGO spinning tops, collect data and learn about the forces that affect their top
performances. To learn more about the LEGOLAND Discovery Center,
please visit https://boston.legolanddiscoverycenter.com/.

This field trip will last from 9:15am-1:45pm. We will be leaving Steward School at 9:15am
to arrive at LEGOLAND at 10:00am and we will be leaving LEGOLAND at 1:00pm to arrive
back at Steward School at 1:45pm.
Each classroom will have 4 chaperones joining them on this trip.
Each chaperone has an updated CORI form in the office.
Please pack your student with a  brown bag lunch (labeled with his/her name) that is
NUT FREE. Please bring an additional separate snack to eat before we board
the buses at 9:15.
Food is NOT allowed inside LEGOLAND. We will plan to eat as a class at staggered times outside LEGOLAND in the grassy picnic area. If it rains, we will eat when we return to school at 1:45pm, which is a little later than our usual lunchtime (1:00pm).
It will be important to have a big breakfast!

All students will be asked to wear the color RED.
This is extremely important as we navigate LEGOLAND as a school.
All students will be wearing Steward School tags that include his/her teacher contact number.
